What Fuel Line do I need for my 1995 T100 SR5 3.4L?

I was working on my truck last week and I was removing the fuel filter. Needless to say, I should have soaked those bolts, or left the unit alone. After fiddling around with the bolts, CRACK! Fuel started pissing all over the floor, and on the drive on lift. I had to use a pipe cutter to cut off both ends. I had the fuel hose clamped down to prevent a big mess. What I am concerned about is the correct size of line to use. I drove to Fleet Farm and they carried japanese compatible line, but it was for brakes. I would like to put new lines on as they are all corroded. Does anyone know what size line I need, and how much I should buy? I bought a fuel filter kit from fram for 3 bucks, but really want to get the oem setup back again.

Thanks

Maybe the same situation that caused my current fuel filter set up? I can take a pic and throw it up but a previous owner or shop attached a Fram G-15 in-line fuel filter with a 6" section of rubber fuel line on each end to the stock hard fuel line tubes with pipe clamps. It does not leak and runs fine, however I have read posts where concern over fuel pressure was an issue with a poorly running engine. I guess the model of Fram filter in use (G-15) on mine flows enough fuel to satisfy the engine and computer.

yeah without the filter I gained about 20 horse lol jk. the line that runs from the fuel filter up to the injectors and pump is the one I need, and the one from the filter to the flexible hose by the tank need replacing. I will go to my dealership today and find out, i just was seeing if there was a way around going to them. I will keep on posting once i find out more info.

Looking up the part number on ToyoDIY and checking the cost over at ToyotaPartSales.com here's what I've found...

OEM Catalog
Item Number MSRP Core Price Price
7725234040 $18.83 $0.00 $14.15

TUBE, FUEL MAIN, NO. (line from tank to filter)

OEM Catalog
Item Number MSRP Core Price Price
7725134070 $29.18 $0.00 $21.93

Are you sure you don't want to go to the dealership fer those? ;)

I may just do that come payday this week Thanks for the research. I was on hold until I can figure out how to get that @#$% connector off the hose coming out of the fuel tank. Thanks again!

I just noticed the rubber line from the fuel pump/tank to the hard line is about $65... 23091E...part number 23091-65020.

From ToyotaPartSales.com it's bout $46...
OEM Catalog
Item Number MSRP Core Price Price
2309165020 $61.16 $0.00 $45.96

TUBE SUB-ASSY, FUEL

So there's 3 hoses and 1 filter from the tank to the firewall. ;)

These are the supposed to be the part numbers I would need fer my 1998 xtra cab 2WD. The part numbers seem to be the same fer the 4WD but the illustration shows they look different from the 2WD parts. ;)

23091E
TUBE SUB-ASSY, FUEL PUMP
23091-65030

$64.56

77252A
TUBE, FUEL MAIN, NO.2
77252-34030

$28.82

77251B
TUBE, FUEL MAIN
77251-34050

I have the issue of wanting to replace my fuel line from the fuel filter to the gas tank it was quite rusty as well and I have a new tank that is crystal clean ready to put in

After reading this thread can't I just run a flexible braided fuel line with AN fittings from the filter back to the tank and route it above the frame rails? Do we know what diameter hose runs between the tank and the filter?

This would seem to be the easiest to maintain and replace if needed.

Thanks,
Griff

I ended up replacing mine with SAE sized fuel line that was close. I flared the ends (double flare if I recall correctly) and reused the fittings from the old fuel lines where they attached to the filter.

It was a lot cheaper to bend and flare my own lines than to buy that OEM stuff.

Did the same for the brake lines as well.

Reviving this post in hopes someone can tell me the fuel line size (tank to fuel filter inlet). Looks like 5/16 but want to make sure. Filter wasn't changed for at least 100k before I bought my 96t100 3.4 and whoever changed it before mashed up the bolt pretty good. Found a Dorman oe fuel line repair kit part number 800151 on rock auto to save from replacing the line (discontinued). Wondering if this will work

Yes that's it! Thank you. I ordered the dorman repair kit from oreilly so should be here today. The idea is to cut the line where I need it to and replace with the dorman line and a compression fitting attaching the old to the new which screws into the filter so I can drive it till I get a new line. I'm new to all this repair stuff and trying to teach myself and keep my truck alive so any advice is appreciated! 235000 miles and not much service history but she runs

Similar question to the OP...

Can anyone help me figure out which is the fuel return line to the tank? I replaced the filter and pump recently. Put it all back together, started it up and it was pissing fuel out of a return line. Quickly turned off the truck to minimize the mess and nut sure which was leaking. I know it's not the main fuel line (smaller diameter was pissing), so I assume it was the return line (since the return vapor line wouldn't piss fuel??). I figured I should replace all lines coming off the tank since they're all BAD, so I've order a replacement fuel pump bracket (which has 2/3 lines coming off of it), but I'm not sure what the 3rd is (enters at "second" port) - fuel or vapor return?

One thing I saw called the "second", smaller port the fuel sender unit, but I don't really trust that... also Rock Auto doesn't have any parts for this "second" port so I'm not sure what it is. There's a good section of line (~4 in.) where I could cut and replace the rotted line from the "second" port, so I may just do this regardless. But if it's the vapor return I may leave it.... Thanks!!
