I have a 92' celica st and it idles anywhere from 800rpm to 1200rpms. and on very cold days when the choke is on a little less than 2000rpms.

Here is a seperate question:
Sometimes after a fifteen minute drive the engine idle drops to 200 rpms and the engine is barely able to stay running and it doesn't ever stall on its own. Is this a bad sign or should i do something about it?

okay man what else is goin on with the car ck all the vacuum lines cuz that is another reason it'll drop. for yours on ur EFI you'll see were ur intake pipe hooks upto the right there is a little deal that is circular thats your idle adjustment mess with that don't turn it too much cuz it doesn't take a lot too increase it.

you may have a vacuum leak, i had the same problem with my 4th gen. It doesnt like to hold the idle. anywhere between 800-850-around 1000 rpm seems to keep the car happy, when its at normal operating temp. Even with my 5th gen, the car starts to vibrate if the idle starts heading around the 700 rpm range.
