Hey guys! After having my corolla after around 5 months, this CA heat is starting to get to me. Ive looked around the forums but found nothing, so why not post myself haha. My question is, what tint is best for keeping the sun out and keeping the car looking good??

3M Crystalline is fairly light, but does block/reflect more solar energy and IR than 3M Color Stable.

Depending on preference, maybe 3M Color Stable 20% to 5% in the back windows. Many tint the fronts, but it depends on the cop looking at you. You can use a light tint of 3M Crystalline up front side windows for IR and heat. I don't think you can legally put anything on the windshield in any state, but many still do.

Look into Rayno Phantom Series. It's a hybrid of ceramic and carbon technology. Ceramic and carbon each has their own advantages and disadvantages. Their Nano Carbon Ceramic tint took the best of both worlds and combined it to address any issues of the ceramic and carbon tints. I chose the Phantom S7 which is their mid level series, and it is also not too expensive. Had 50% VLT installed on all side windows (looks light and natural) and 35% VLT at the back window. It provides enough darkening for comfort, and you can still see through all my windows from the outside. By the way, I've used the same shades on my previous car which I've driven for over 10 years. I've never had issues from the police.
