Any feedback on which vent visors are better....the in channel or the ones that stick to the body of the door?

Thanks,
Robert

Rears, yes. I can't remember on the fronts because it's been so many years. But the fronts are wedged in real good due to the shape of the door/window. Takes a little work to get them in, thus they don't really want to come out. Rears are basically straight and rely on the adhesive more.

My weathertechs did NOT have adhesive on the front, and yes, they are wedged in really well.

Welcome to the EGR club.

Can't remember if this was the case before I had the visors, but I like tha airflow in the double cab. Roll the driver's window all the way down. Windy. Then lower the driver's rear window down a couple inches at a time and the wind on the driver decreases. Take that rear window down about an inch below the visor and all wind on you will cease. So still you could light a match! You can do the same thing with both front windows down and lowering both rear windows just below the visors.

necro, I know, but have been away awhile..... The "In channel look a bit cleaner, but I installed the stick on type for my 06 a-cab w/ power windows. This drawback to "in-channel" type, is increased window motor wear/stress, as they have to fight a bit harder that last bit of "roll-up" to get the glass into the seal. Would be the same as if you had bad/poorly installed upper window seals. And I am not looking forward to ever having to replace a regulator motor. :) My opinion and experiences, ofc. My truck has been through many car washes, and cross country a few times, and they have not shown any signs of coming off anytime soon

One of my rear Weatertech's on my Avalon XLS recently fell out after four years of use. The shop ordered me a new one, no charge, and is also putting fresh 3M tape on my other rear window.
