Friends! Anyone having knowledge on selecting a sensibly priced xm radio unit an installation procedure for 2007 avalon touring

Im planning to install XM radio in my ride. I have few questions...

Is 07 Avalon touring compatible or shall i say satellite radio ready ? if yes then will XM be better or Sirius (im a fan of XM though)

fill i need to remove anything in the JBL audio console or should i just go for plug in player (budget is main issue here but can be stretched if the integration looks seamless)

which particular unit should i go for (plug in or in dash)

Anyone already done this already pics will be very much appreciated of your install or the final look

thanks a ton!

Mickey thanx for the info i checked the link. it says its recognised as OEM and will n ot void the warranty of the car have you verified this with a toyota dealership?

how much did it cost you to get everything in your car?
was that mouse shaped thing the antenna? where does that go (outside or inside the car itself) do i have a choice of selecting the antenna or thats it!

thanks for your time

I did not check with a dealership about the warranty. The cost was the price of the unit plus a little something for my friend who helped install it. Yes, the mouse-shaped thing is the antenna. Only one choice. It's quite small. I have it mounted on the left rear next to the trunk lid. You can decide where to put the antenna, but it needs to be mounted outside for clear reception.

thanks for the info. I do not like that mouse antenna. I guess ill stick with a plug in sat reciever that i can switch between home and car.

i read elsewhere on this board about a triangle shaped antenna which goes behind the rear view mirror on the windshield (inside the car itself)

do you have any info on that?

i do appreciate your prompt replies thanks as always!
