If I'm projecting 250hp out of my 4A-F with K-jetronic and a turbocharger, I'm damn sure you can have that 250 out of a 1ZZ-FE
I'm not saying it can't be done
I'm trying to say that the 1ZZ is a poor base to start from, if you want to go over 200Bhp, with limited funds, like the Topic starter asked
Just to make my point: What did those 250hp out of you're 4A-F (very nice by the way

) cost you?

Well, there you go

But just to comment the out of control discussion thats going on here.
I might be new here, and maybe a bit of an outsider, not knowing how these things work in the US.
But is't it kind of redicioulus to compare a Corolla to and ZO6 Corvette
The Corvette is an purpous built sports car, with the heritage, the design, the engine, hell even the looks!
Our Corolla's are daily drivers that are disigned for economical fuel consumption, relayability and just comfortable driving.
Sure, there are more sporty models for those of us who would like to get where we want to go a bit quicker, but still, they are simply not disigned for all out performance.
My respect to all of you who are trying to upgrade you're Corolla's performances. But to set you're standard for that at a ZO6 Corvette?
That's hardly realistic.
It's a noble goal and hats of for those who achieve it, but wouldn't it be better for those among us that still have to pay bills every month and use there car for a hobby to set our standards a bit lower? Instead of calling eachother names and argue about things that only a few of us is willing or even capabale of doing?
