Hey guys. So as the title says I have a 2000 Toyota Camry with a 3.0 v6 and a 5 speed manual transmission. It has 190000 on the body but I recently swapped it with a engine with about 60k on it. So my question is how rare are these exactly and if I wanted to sell it how much could I get for it?
Thanks

They are a quite rare, but overall condition and factory options will determined price.

Pictures can mean a thousand words, but you'll look around for $2-2.5K for a LE based trim one avg. They'll sell the same as the automatic models because no one thinks the manual 5spd V6 is rare. Only people who are into Camrys will. You could sell it higher, but expect to be targeting a market nitch.

^+1. The typical Camry shopper doesn't want a manual. And the enthusiast who'd prefer a manual doesn't shop for Camrys. Generally speaking, of course.

You would do well if you plan on selling it to advertise here....there are many people who get tired of the ol' slushbox and want something different - if for no other reason their Camry just won't die.

Personally I would hang on to it now since you've transplanted a lower mileage motor into it. But that's just me...

Toyota did a good thing with the 4th gen by offering a luxury/fully optioned V6 manual. They are not exactly that common, but not as unusual as one would think. I always see one or two for sale on Craigslist. My favorite Toyotas are Camry sticks, Ive owned several. 88 (best car ever), 90, 95 and a 96.

My current is a 2000 Solara is a V6 manual (I had a '99 of the same flavor once)... two door Camry, so there's that.

Manual transmission Camry's, generally sell for less than automatics. What you read above is true, sporty Camry enthusiasts are rare, there's about 50 in all of north america. (joking) But, seriously it's a tiny niche. I'd pay a premium for one that was clean and well maintained, but I'm a rare cookie. I've been looking at Solara Coupes with the V-6 and a 5spd, locally they are a hard car to sell even in great shape (dealer maintained for all their lives). Good luck in finding a nerd like me in your area, if you are trying to make money on this. :)

If you are near Connecticut, there's a sweet black 2000 SE V6 5 speed for sale. The only caveat is its got 190k miles. I just bought mine off a family in CT and they were trying to sell it for four months... I was able to get a good deal because of the soft market for them.
