Hi guys,

Was wondering if you guys can help me with a problem on my 2007 Camry I4. It's cold up here in Toronto the past few weeks and I noticed a problem with my ventilation/heater. When i'm driving hot air comes out of my vents, but once I'm stopped at a traffic light the air will come out as cold until I start driving again.

I already replaced my water pump earlier this year, and most of the postings show that this may be a faulty water pump causing the issue. Just before going back to my mechanic, was wondering if there could be something else wonky.

Not sure if this is related, but when I start my car, I can hurt some liquid sound by the left foot wall side, and sometimes when I'm accelerating I too would hear some liquid flowing sound.

Sounds like you have some air trapped in the cooling system. Have the mechanic who did the waterpump check the coolant level and then pressure check for a leak. If no leak is found, then he needs to bleed the trapped air out of the cooling system.

Also, what is the temperature gage on the dash reading? If it's normal, around 11:30 on the gage, then your thermostat is OK. If it reads lower than 11:30 or takes a long tome to reach that temperature, then you may have a thermostat that is stuck in the open position.

+1 for air in the system.
