I'm having trouble with my 2007 corolla fan switching on when the car reaches temp, although the cars fan works with the a/c on and only with the a/c on . I changed the temp switch that sends power to turn on the cooling fan(also did the relays and check fuses all are good), I also tested the coolant temp switch fail safe by unplugging the sensor with the key in the on position the fan is supposed to come on full speed, but it does not come on at all.

These cars don't use a cooling temp switch. The fan is controlled by the ECU which grounds to separate pins for either A/C control or engine coolant temperature control.

You need to inspect the wiring, especially the grounds. If you need the wiring diagram, send me a PM.

Sometimes my car overheats and when I look under the hood I notice that the fan is off and the water is boiling. When I hit my radiator fan it turns back on. I'm thinking it's the fan, but the thing is the fan on autozone, and amazon has this connection that looks different from the one in my car. It is a 2007 corolla ce 1.8. I'm yet to return the fan, just wondering if you maybe ran into something similar here.

The fact that it turns on when you hit it means there's a connection or grounding issue. You could replace the entire fan and still have the same problem. Gotta check ground and wiring. It could also be the motor is shorting out, and it "connects" when you bump it. In that case, replacing it would work, but you need to find out if it's the wiring (and the connector) or not.

If the one from AutoZone or the one online has a different connector, then you might be looking at the wrong one. I replaced my fan assembly with a TYC assembly and the connector matched what I had in my 2004 Corolla.
