This is a hot car and something I wouldn't have expected from Ford, seeing that their current line up is crap. I'm really glad to see they did away with the 3 bar grill, it was overdone and not that good looking to begin with.

I know Mulally hinted of a new better looking Taurus sometime in the future and that the new design was what it originally should have looked. I thought it was sort of an odd moment since it seemed like a thinly veiled criticism of the current car's styling. I agree with you on the current grille thing Ford has going, I like my car to look like a car not a razor blade.

It looks decent from what I can tell. it doesn't look as big as the current one though, I don't know if it's going to be smaller or it just looks that way.

Grill does look a lot better, the current grill's seemed cool for about a month and then they got old.

I think the whole SYNC idea from Ford is a good idea, espeically for only $400, if I thought the quality was there that would be a feature that would possibly sway me from another brand.

From another recent thread:

Ford has lost their #2 spot, sales are down, stock is way down, and they are still unprofitable, so what exactly is Ford doing right? Besides the Edge their line up sucks, they have no interesting products in the pipeline. Their will be no turnaround for Ford
Want to revise your "no turnaround" comment? :D

It's ok, you're still young grasshopper ;)

Personally.... GREAT looking car. Good job Ford.

Some odd responses so far. To me it looks the same size as the 500 (which they recently renamed "Taurus"). I wouldn't doubt if it's not "all new", my guess is a highly refreshed 500 makes this the new Taurus.

But then again, it's a crappy picture, and there's too much to speculate! ;)

I think there is still quiet a bit of variety on the road, but I am actually about sick of looking at sky-jacked F250's and Chevy 2500's. Although I think you are right that it wouldn't really be much fun if the auto industry had no competition. Just as long as Toyota stays on top. :naughty: I think it is not that far in the future until the price of fuel starts to seriously change the market.
