Hi all, does anyone know how to disable the initial screen that comes up when you start the car? I always have to press Continue. I only need to read it once. And how to disable the slippery road warning? It comes on every time I drive the car, even if there is no slow or ice. very annoying.

"Here's a warning to not be distracted by this Nav while driving, here let me give you a paragraph to read while your driving down the road and have to press ok every time to add an extra step to your distraction".... thats what I think every time I see this type of warning on my Navs....

Do you mean pressing OK on the infotainment screen? Every car manufacturer does the same and won't let you disable it for liability reasons. Just wait the five seconds.

The snow warning is annoying AF but another one you can't disable.

Welcome to modern cars.

the "roads may be icy" warning may be defendant on the temperature. doesn't matter if the roads are actually slippery. they should make it defendant on if the car has slippage and the traction control has to be used.

I took delivery of a 2020 Camry LE last week and immediately checked the customization options to see if the "boot up" warning message could be disabled. While it is not as bad as the constant reverse gear beep in my 2006 and 2014 Prii, it is annoying to see the message more than once. At least the Prius reverse beep could be disabled by a magic sequence. We were a three Prius family until last week. My 2002 was all used up at 213,000 miles. So I upgraded to the 2020 Camry.

To air out the new car smell, I leave the Camry windows open. The car beeps and displays a window open message in the screen next to the speedometer. More nonsense that I would like to disable. I can live with the roads may be icy warning.

Speaking of warnings required by corporate lawyers, has anyone read the almost 600 page owner's manual? At least 300 pages are warnings about all the circumstances under which the advanced safety technology won't work because the sensors may be obscured (fog, rain, snow, dirty windows, dirty sensors, etc). I turned off lane departure warning and auto headlight dim the first day I had the car. They are way to sensitive.

Welcome to modern technology.

If you are talking about the first message that pops up on the display when you turn on the car, no way to remove that warning message. every modern car has it and it's for liability. Just wait for it to go away or press on continue. It'll go away within seconds.

The window open/moon roof open/trunk open/hood open are mostly reminders and less warnings. it's to remind you that you left something open while the car ignition is off. You can't turn it off. It will come in handy especially if you are in a rush and forget that the back windows are open and it's going to rain at night or if you parked in a bad neighborhood. It beeps and reminds you to close it. Icy roads warning, there's a thread on it and though it's annoying, you can't turn it off.

The car is exposed to the outside environment and there are elements that will prevent the sensors/cameras to work. It's there not just to protect toyota but also to tell you to not use them under those certain conditions because you can cause an accident. every technology that you have in your home or that you use it has a list of conditions in which it won't operate.. it's technology, it's not indestructible.

Why do people like to make fun of a question? Technically there is a way you can remove the caution loading screen when you start the car. I have the same car as you and I have seen YouTube videos how to. By using a thumb drive with pictures and using your USB port. Haven't tried it yet but the video was done on a Tacoma. Traction control is turned off and on by holding in traction button. I want to know how to disable the freeze warning every time my car hits around 32 Deg.
