I have a 1993 Camry Wagon with the 3VZFE and the head gasket blew. I found a 1994 Camry with the 1MFZE that was creamed on the side. Does anyone know what stuff is interchangable i.e. ECU, tranny, axles, harness, etc. from the 93 to the 94 and vise a versa? I can use all the help I can get.
thank you

^ 90% chance all of the wiring is going to be different. Your best best if you wanna do the swap is to get the entire front carriage, mounts, wiring harness, and ecu. you're gonna needs lots of stupid little parts... take as much of the donor car as you can.

The motor mounts may well line up, but the 1MZ-FE has the OBD-II ECM system, Your 3VZ-FE has OBD-I. Both engine control systems are completely different. Not only do you have to think about swapping the engine and harness, you also have to consider compatibility with the car body harness - ie: ignition harness, instrument/dash harness and whatever else. It is probably easier to replace your blown gaskets than to swap a very different engine control system. If your 3VZ-FE is a known good engine, Get yourself a complete gasket set on eBay from "Domesticgaskets" (thats where I got mine), and a Hanes Service manual and get to work pulling those heads. It can be done with the engine in the car, but of course is easier with the engine out. The time spent to pull the engine may be better invested in changing the gaskets with the engine in. Don't waste your time replacing only the gasket that is blown, the other will soon follow and you will have to strip it down all over again. OR find a better 3VZ-FE engine and replace the gaskets (even if they are still good) BEFORE you swap it. The result will be a one time deal, not having to worry about it happening to your replacement engine too! = Happy Motoring.
