yeah, i just found mine the other day!

 

so i was cleaning my trunk the other day and i came across a black box...

it's found underneath the small wooden board on the left side, a replacement for the garage opener...a sunglass holder! damn i never knew about this, and i've always wanted one too!

pics of where this box is? i wonder if my gen 5 has it???

i dont have a secret box mine came seperate from the dealer

 

i found some golf tees and also some toys in there.

 

isnt that where the tools for the spare are kept???

 

I found mine about 6 months after I bought the my 98. It was by the jack.

 

mine's from a Gen4.4 00'. i bet all gen4s have this...or possibly all of the Camrys could, but don't take my word for it.

yea it's underneath the carpet on the left side. the tools are found underneath the center of the carpet, attached underneath the wooden board (i think there are 3 boards total...left, center, and right). i think the space is empty under the right board; i don't remember.

I've got a '01 LE (Gen 4.5), and there are three boards - left (which for me has some rags, the 'netting' that comes with the car, and other assorted things), center (spare tire, tools), and right (jack).

The box on the left hand side of the trunk is not a hidden box.


That was what holds the factory 6 disk CD changer in until it was moved into the dash. All ES 300 / Windom's were like that until the mid->late 2nd generation = mid-late 4th generation Camry.

 

My aunt's bimmer had one of these in it, too.

Except her's had a CD changer in it

 

Yeah, I just checked mine . . . though they aren't really boxes they're still pretty cool. The right one has a jack, and the left has nothing in my 99. I guess my folks didn't want spend a pretty penny on the CD Changer :disappoin

 

if it isn't there it's usually given to you by the dealer because they take it ouf of there, when the camry is shipped it's put there=p

frig, u scared me. i thoug this thing tracks how fast u've been and stuff like that. just storage hehe
