I have no idea why Homelink is not standard on the LE. Any way to add it? Replace the mirror with the Homelink mirror?

If you want OEM, you'd want to get the mirror that is standard in the XLE (Auto-dimming with HomeLink transceiver). I just don't know if the wiring harness for power is already up in headliner. If the Dealer can't tell you, you might want to wait until the the OEM assembly drawings start showing up on-line or someone makes a YouTube video on the topic (the 2021 Venza is still too new to have much on-line media).

However, you don't want to get the OEM mirror the Limited. The mirror on the Limited is "digital" and requires another camera on the back of the vehicle. Without the extra camera, you'd be paying a lot for something that is essentially the XLE mirror.

You can find aftermarket mirrors with HomeLink on Amazon. These usually use a battery for the HomeLink and have manual flip lever for the day/night mode (no external power required).

This may be what you're looking for, but it's hard to tell now because '21 parts applications aren't listed yet, it's usually at least 6 months or so before that happens. This mirror is for several '20 Toyotas.

The Homelink Auto-Dimming Mirror is a really nice add-on. If your dealer won't add it, I'm sure you could order the parts and have an independent shop do it. Even if the wiring isn't already in the headliner, it's not that hard to run the wiring across the roof, down the a-pillar, and then use the wiring under the dash. Most independent shops probably wouldn't charge you much.

You could also look online- there are lots of different mirrors that would work in your car. Gentex makes a lot of different mirrors that offer both the auto-dimming and Homelink features. Most include the wiring harness that allows you to connect it under the dash.

They sell many different ones on Amazon- just make sure you get one with a mount that works and that has the wiring.

The OEM Frameless Homelink mirror uses batteries, so installation is easy, lots of R4W owners have installed it on their Rav4s. I don't care for the auto dimming Toyota mirrors in the Rav4s I've owned for the past 5yrs, they don't dim enough, would rather have the standard flip feature that was in my '06 V6 base, haven't driven at night in the Venza yet to know if it has the same lame dimming as my previous 4th and 5th gen Rav4s.

So has anyone actually added the OEM frameless Homelink mirror that works on the Rav4 onto the 2021 Venza LE? Just want to make sure it actually is a simple swap and that it fits before I go ahead and buy one. Reason being I don't see the 2021 Venza listed as one of the compatible models for that part.

Thanks!

I bought a Gentrex mirror for my 2014 Highlander LE on Ebay in 2015 and it came from a 2012-15 Tacoma. It has Homelink, auto-dimming and hidden compass led display(blue). It came with an extra long power wire which was easy to hook up by running underneath the headliner, down the window pillar cover , to the fuse panel under the dash.It mounts to the standard windshield mount and also came with a power wire cover (windshield mount to headliner). Works great and will be removing this mirror for my next vehicle, what ever make it is ! Try to find one in a junk yard if you can , mine was not cheap, $ 250.00 U.S.
