This - there are a LOT of things I dislike about that cluster that I probably would avoid in a Toyota or Dodge or Hyundai, that I will overlook in a Ferrari:

  • Digital display should probably be centered.
  • Tach and speedo should either be the same size or speedo should be larger than tach.
  • Speedometer should be central, but I don't like the tach to the right of the speedo, so either the tach and the cluster should swap or the cluster should be centered (i.e. instead of Digital Information Center (DIC) - Tach - Speedo left to right, it should either be Tach-DIC-Speedo, or Tach-Speedo-DIC.
But as mentioned - things that would be poor design or weird in a Chevy are eccentric and charming in a Ferrari.

Went by Toyco this morning to see about RAV4. None in stock and only 1 in my combo i want in 500 mile radius (ouch), and only discounted to invoice...saw the new Camry SE in person however. Not as exciting as in the pics....

^ That blue looks a little different than Blue Crush Metallic if I'm not mistaken..
Am I wrong?

edit: I think the XSE rims are MUCH nicer looking than these Special Edition wheels.

You can't really go by photos for this - you HAVE to see the car in person in various light levels.

I have seen Blue Crush Toyota, Kona Blue Ford and Performance Blue Ford and they all have a hint of purple in the paint unless you are on a cloudless day in full sunshine (but I've seen photos where they looked great).

Oddly, it is the degree of purple that bothers me - i.e. I like the Blue Streak Metallic on the Dodge Dart (probably NOT the same color as the Camry SE), and my wife had a 1996 Moonlight or Midnight Blue Mustang - http://gtcarlot.com/colors/Ford/Mustang/1997/Moonlight+Blue+Metallic/ - not hers ...

That car was a rich, deep blue in daylight, but would look purple under florescent lights (gas station at night) and navy or black in darker lighting. That color didn't bother me at all.

Blue Streak Metallic is one of the brighter blues in Toyota's color palette; it was previously the blue available on the Corolla and Matrix for 2009-10, and on the 07-10 Tundra...it was discontinued because more buyers preferred the darker shade of blue, like the Blue Crush on the Camry.

^ If the seats were Ultrasuede blue they'd look REALLY nice. But that cloth with its tacky design doesn't resonate with me. I understand why they chose the SE version; it's more affordable than the XSE. But I liked the comforts of the XSE enough to pay the extra money. It'd be cool to see some of these designs on an XSE with 19" wheels. :D:D
