Thanks dyapanis! Two screws for the horizontal pieces. But didn't see the explanation for the fog light part. Reading it on my phone is kind of small so maybe I missed it.

 

Someone just backed into my our V6 SE, and while it's at the body shop, I'm having the chrome strips and foglight bezels painted flat black. Once I have it back, I'm masking off the door surrounds and plastidipping them and the Toyota logos.

 

Post some pics when it is done. I would love to see how it looks! I won't be able to get mine done for two weeks as I am leaving for vacation this weekend :clap:

 

You can remove the chrome strips from under the bumper. I actually took my bumper off (to get to the headlights) but there are a few screws that hold them in and they just snap out afterwards

 

Wouldnt it be easier if you just left them on and covered the areas you dont want to spray?

 

Not really if its just removing two screws. That'll take 2 seconds.

 

Ever try clear dip on chrome? Make it matte silver/brushed aluminum like

I found it very easy to take off the bumper cover then remove all the chrome. You can remove the bumper cover in under 5 minutes once you know how to do it. It was much easier to paint all the chrome pieces off of the car instead of masking off.

 

I just plasti dipped my chrome strips took 10 mins need to do the fog bezels still
