Clutch Chatter after Clutch Replacement

I had just got my clutch replaced and the flywheel resurfaced and I am getting clutch chatter when starting off in first gear. I have to rev the engine to 1.5k until I can start engaging if I don't want any chatter. Will it go away after the clutch breaks in? I did a couple hard shifts but I guess I shouldn't be doing that until it is broken in. The chatter was there before the hard shifting btw.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

It could be maybe an error on the flywheel surface or teeth flywheels are kind of like brake rotors you should always replace them instead of having them redone that’s one thing I have learned as a mechanic Over the years. So the place that done it could of left anything from a little piece of metal to a nick in it or anything. I’ve never seen one do that unless something was wrong it shouldn’t be because it’s not broke in usually when it’s not broke in it’s usually just hard to press down until it breaks in

Shouldn't chatter. We had flywheels resurfaced and never had a problem but it was before cheap flywheels became available, more than 20 years ago and I only went to one machine shop which is now closed. As far as wearing in there is very little difference and it it chatters it probably will not stop, but nothing to loose. The real issue is what to do to make sure it's fixed the second time. Could be parts or the resurfacing, but which one?

One of the reasons why I'm glad I am retired. Guess wrong and it comes apart 3 times?
