Do you guys think the CAMRY SE V6 is ugly?

Everyone seems to be bashing on the CAMRY'S exterior looks and praising the 2014 MAZDA 6 and HONDA ACCORD. What do you guys think? Is the CAMRY really that boring and ugly? Any opinions on the MAZDA 6 or ACCORD styling?

I personally think the SE V6 looks good with the big 18 inch rims, dual exhaust and the rear looks sexy. My opinion : )

I think the Camry SE looks a lot better than the new Accord. The Accord to me looks bland and boring. Even the their SE version doesn't look any different than the other models. I have really looked at the new 6. I think the Camry SE is the best looking one of the three but then again, I'm a little biased towards the Camry.

matter of opinion I guues.
I don't know anyone who likes new accord. I kind liked it at the beginning and even was thinking about getting LX or sport before I test drove one. most people I know call accord bland barge, uninteresting or boring. it looks big, heavy, unbalanced and has too much chrome...
more I look at accord -less I like it. new mazda 6 looks pretty nice. at least it has own styling and lines.
camry, especially V-6 SE looks very different, some like it, some not, but you can't call bland and boring.
to me SE V-6 looks sharp and different, sure better than accord or mazda 6 or altima.

Yeah, I agree with both of you . I love my new SE V6! The Mazda 6 looks great but not a fan of the rear end. Same with the Accord, the rear end looks unbalanced and weird. I do like the Accords LED headlights though. I think the Tail lights for the Camry's looks awesome!

how can it be an after thought? i think toyota should have made the body of all 7th gen camry like the SE.

my neighbor has the mazda 6. the only thing i like about that car is the 19 inch rims. everything else is boring.

In terms of styling, personally I like the new Mazda 6 the most, following the Accord, and then Camry. There are just some angles paired with some colors I find the Camry ugly (can't go wrong with Gray Metallic, though). Also as mentioned, the SE's frontend doesn't look that great. Again, my taste, my opinion.

Now if I was talking about the previous gen of those three cars, my list would be in reverse.

Saw the new Mazda today, looked good, didn't notice it was a Mazda until I got close enough. IMO, the Accord only looks good if you get the top of the line model, with all the bells/whistles with the sport body kit. The Camry SE's front, honestly, isn't the best. That chrome needs to def go for the refresh.

I think there could be mods here and there for both the SE and LE.

For one as an LE owner I am completely envious of the headlights from the SE trim.

I like my LE front end but would like some components from the SE installed such as the headlights, and the grill.

If I had the money I'd definitely try to mod those.

fog lights and decent 17-18" wheels change LE look alot.

I think the SE v6 is by far better looking than its competition. The accord looks decent only in the sport model.. I'm biased though since I choose the Camry SE v6 lol. There isn't a thing I would change about the SE v6 other than they could of made the wheel well gap better(alot less of it). That's my only gripe about the Camry...

I think the Camry is the worst looking of the 3 in question. The Accord is pretty plain, but very nicely detailed and has great proportions. It looks best in Sport trim by far, though. The new 6 is absolutely gorgeous, imo, and sets the bar for the segment.

Having said that, I still think the Camry looks pretty good. Better than the Fusion, just as good as the Malibu, and way better than the Altima.

all commercials and promo's show the V6 SE as well.
wrong....
:)
there are plenty of commercials, reviews, tests showing LE/XLE or hybrid.
but I do like SE front better too.
:)

After sitting in an Accord, Malibu, Sonata and a Passat....our interior looks pretty boring and dated.
accord interior got pretty nice geometry, malibu -old man styling, sonata- no thanks, passat- most outdated interior in class. google late 90's vw interiors- you'll see same thing with bit less aluminum.
camry interior looks different an very modern to me.

However, driving dynamic wise...man, that Accord and Mazda are fun.
v-6 - yes.
I-4 with manual- hell YES.
I-4 with CVT- hell NO.
camry down shifts quicker and got better pick-up.

I like the instrument cluster and hate the center stack
same here. accords cluster is gorgeous, rest of the interior- just meh...

If a manual is offered in a car, I don't even bother driving the auto option. I already know that I'll hate it. I hate CVTs as well, but the manual Accord is downright peppy for a 4 cylinder - it feels like an older V6.

Overall, I believe that the 2012 Camry SE's appearance is quite - acceptable. My 2012 I4 Camry is purring along quite nicely and I am very happy with it.

However, that being said - why oh why can't Toyota design a body style that is more pleasing to the eye? Model year after model year, it would seem that Toyota assigns a rather low priority regarding the design of their flagship vehicle, the Camry.

To me it seems that while Nissan can often style vehicles that look more asthetically pleasing, their overall dependibility is not as good as Toyota. Toyota on the other hand has a stellar dependabilty record, but designs rather bland body styles. Why can't there be combination of the two? Example: If they could just lift the body off of an Infiniti G-37 and plunk it down on a Toyota Camry chassis - it would be the best of two worlds for me! ;)

I'm sure that a hugely successful automobile company like Toyota has the ability to recruit talented and imaginative styling engineers that would be the equal of any at Nissan. Perhaps the design philosophy at Toyota is much more conservative?

This is my third Camry - all have been excellent vehicles. I just wish that it looked as good on the outside as it is on the inside.

Not a huge fan of the Accord Sedan. The coupe on the other hand is GORGEOUS, but you cant really compare it to the Camry since it isn't available in a coupe.

I don't think all cars should be so dramatic, there are some out there that are just way too over the top.

I think the SE V6 looks great, the front is sporty, it has a nice profile, tailights aren't my favorite but they are tolerable.

Biggest change I would make would be the wheel gap. There is absolutley no reason they couldn't have figured out a way to make it ride nice and be lower. The SE is stiff enough as it is, and with that wheel gap? Don't know how they couldn't figure that one out.

But like someone else said before, the only thing that matters is the "eye of the beholder"
