I have a 2012 Camry LE with Upgrade Package that has about 92,000 KM (about 57,000 miles) and change my oil with 0w20 Toyota Brand or Mobil 1 Synthetic every 8,000 KM (about 5,000 Miles).

I was watching some youtube videos and people mention about using engine oil flush treatment (i.e. put the contents of the bottle in your existing oil, run the engine at idle or at 2,000 RPM for 10 min and then perform an oil and filter change).

I just wanted to know what your take was on this? I have never done this on any car and my old Camry (2002 Camry LE V6) that I sold at 220,000 KM (136,000 miles) and I did Mobil 1 5W30 oil changes every 8,000 KM (about 5,000 Miles) ran wonderfully right till the day I traded it in.

Is this good to do or could it cause issues?

It's a hit & miss... furthermore depends on which cleaner.

I've seen an 80$ one made by Mobil1 and claims to be the new best thing... and some 10$ ones work equally well...

Like everything in life - your mileage may vary!

I maintain my cars, did a seafoam clean on my old ES300 - didn't do anything, since I was always on top of my OCI's. Pulled the valve covers at ~130k Mi. the motor looked like new.

OP, keep doing what you do with it and don't bother with this. The way you're doing things is the best course of action for the car.

Yes, very much so! So many people worry about the crankcase and not the rest of the motor...

Even subaru ended up selling such a product despite swearing not to use any products on their turbo motors for a while...

Just dirty old men pushing products that take advantage of the natural curiosity of young people that have never seen the insides of a 60,000 mile Toyota engine that ran synthetic changed every 5,000 miles.

Lots of other dirty old men will also try to sell young ones on the idea of extending oil changes by purchasing oil analysis.
