Hello Everyone,

I got my 1999 Solara winter beater last november. I want to replace the timing belt, water pump, and various seals and other replaceable parts (like PCV). I don't really want to pay 400+ for all oem parts from a toyota website. Could this kit last 50k miles without failing on me if installed correctly??? Also, I know it says lexus, but it is the same engine 1MZ-FE as my solara. Would that pose any issues? Thanks for your time everyone!

I see it's got an Aisin pump and a Mitsuboshi belt, which are the OEM suppliers to Toyota, so that's great. The GMB pulleys not so great. And it's missing the belt tensioner.

Aisin sells a kit with parts that are all from the OEM suppliers. For your Solara its p/n TKT004 without the tensioner, TKT024 with it. The 024 kit is $164.09 on Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Aisin-TKT-024-Engine-Timing-Water/dp/B008EEYWIA

Anyone know what part number the 1mz fe toyota spark plug seals are? I have been searching forever for these annoying seals. I'd prefer to use aftermarket seals. I would rather buy off of toyota website, but if I can't find them, would these suffice? Thanks for the help!

Why not use OEM?

The PCV valve is easier to replace if the valve covers and/or plenum is off. The timing belt has nothing to do with it. You might want to order new cam and crank seals if yours are leaking, as well as new power steering and alternator belts.

I used the Aisin kit on my Solara.
