Hello I was wondering if anybody has had any experience changeing the intermediate steering shaft on a 2008 highlander? Also is there a free online service manual that I could get to do the repair or is this something that is better left for the pros.

If there is a HL TSB out on this you might see if there is some compensation to get this fixed even after the warranty has expired.(free as part of customer good will, half price, Part free you pay labor, etc)

And there is also this link from the Common Problems & Solutions sticky thread. As for free editions of the FSM, sorry, due to copyright law we do not allow them to be shared on TN. Your best bet would be to buy a used edition on Ebay, but even a brand new FSM is worth every penny if you're into doing your own maintenance and repairs....IMO.
