My XD Philips H11 HID light kit just arrived and I am going to install it this weekend. In the meanwhile, what do you guys recommend for the fog lights (H16)? What are the less expensive options beside Philips X-Treme Ultinion LED fog light bulbs ($160) and XD Xtreme LED fog light bulbs ($120)? TIA

I did 6k LED's for both my low and high beams. I am not planning to change my fog lamps. Some have posted that the higher the temp of the color the less the do in fog and heavy rain. So leaving the fogs alone gives me some safety border, I think. Plus replacing the fog lamps is a lot more mechanical and I am not mechanically inclined.

I remember something about that, as the white light maybe reflectingbounng nd in the fog? Maybe yellow bounces less?

We have a thread on it with links to some testing, I forgot the outcome. :)

..and why they have yellow fog, or filters..... very easy to ask for yellow filters to add. Some LED fog sellers have this as an added option.
Maybe Steve from XD can comment

I believe that yellow light is *supposed* to be better in fog applications because the yellow light doesn't prism off the water particles in the fog. I say supposed because I think I read a while ago that this theory was proven false.

However, from personal experience I believe that warmer tones in fog lights do function better when driving in the snow/rain.
