Is the truck throwing a code? As far as I know all the T100s had cable driven speedometer inputs Perhaps there's a speed sensor in the speedometer itself, but I would suspect problems with the cable, since that is typically the culprit.

What are the symptoms? When my cable went bad, I got a CEL, a tremoring speedometer needle, and a noise like a turkey call that varied with wheel speed. Then the cable outright snapped, and I had no speedometer at all.

no CEL yet here on the old taco, perhaps that light is not working...
but! that tremoring is unreal, the needle fluttered from 60 to 90 mph when i was getting up to highway speed from this past weekend and that insane high pitched squeal nearly cost me with serious distracted driving + safety hazard, it did go away after it all warmed up some

i shall look for this area right here
just undo the bolt and pull it out or does cable end screw out?

took a muffled audio of the noise it makes in the cold
it gets real near the end when i pick up the gadget from behind jacket in passenger seat
still only makes the whine when below freezing out... took 12 miles on freeway one day to finally quiet itself down
