What are the first few characters of your VIN?

It was made in the US, probably at the NUMMI plant in Fremont, California

I don't think any Corollas sold in NA are made in Japan anymore.

 

I believe we only had US or Canada made in north America... I think a good 80% were Canadian made, Nummi only provided overflow support I thought.

Actually ALL XRS were canadian made from what I recall.

 

There are Japanese made 9th Gen Corolla models for all years 2003-2008. All Matrix models and Corolla XRS were made in Canada and all Pontiac Vibe models were made in NUMMI. Most Corolla models I have seen come from NUMMI.

 

There is a label located low inside driver's door jamb on just about all cars. Should tell you exactly where it's made.

 

All cars assembled in Japan have a VIN number starting with a "J".
