Hi guys,

Just curious how many kms can you guys get a out for full tank of petrol on the Gen3 V6 Touring ??
I think mine hold 70 litres and i only get 400-450 kms on a full tank, i usually drive 20% on highway.

it's a 60L tank, so your mileage at least isn't as bad as you think it is lol

and I usually get around 500 if I don't boost too much, with a mix of highway and city driving, so I don't complain.

What are some good investment to improve mileage ???
I change my oil and oil filter every 3 months...didn't change my spark plugs often as i would like to coz i got a V6 engine and its a pain in the bum to change the 3 rear spark plugs, but i got those spark plugs stating it would last a while before changing it needed.

Typically I get around 360 miles (575 km) on a tank; 400 (640 km) if I let it run really low. But it varies with the season. I've kept a log of almost all my fill ups since it was new, and a graph with a ten point moving average shows I'm averaging 24 MPG in the winter, and 26 in the summer.

My commute is great for mileage. 22 miles each way, with most of it at 45 mph on asphalt country roads. It's running barely above idle RPM most of the way.

My 1993 SE V6 5Spd. Got 20 MPG no matter what I did. City, Highway, it was always 20 MPG.
But I have a heavy foot. Highway was usually 80-90 MPH Cruise. City was usually 45-50 MPH
My 1995 LE I4 gets 30 MPG Highway, 24 City.

^^ Man thats some great mileage!

I get about 340-375 mile/per tank. It depends on how heavy my foot is feeling. I do about 60% city 40% highway. I will be driving to Chicago in November and I am curious to see what it gets just purely highway. I am going to do my plugs and air filter before I go and see what happens.

My ex-wifes 05 Camry V6 with her and I an our dog with luggage did 550mi on one tank. It was about 32mpg with the A/C on! We left Atlanta and made it to Indianapolis on 1 tank!

LazyAccent has a Gen3.5, not Gen3. It's a different engine.

I usually get 21mpg. I REALLY wish I could increase this. But I have to say, my wife's LE I4 is getting about the same right now :( Last thing I have to replace is the O2 sensor.

I am averaging 21mpg in mixed driving with A/C on half the time. My commute is 34 mile round trip.
My tank is 18.5 gallons on my 94 Camry V6 XLE. So about 388 per tank. I have 4 new O2 sensors, spark plugs, and air filter. Also just did water pump and thermostat while he was doing my timing belt. So in the last 6 months lots of preventative stuff that is producing a little better mileage 1 or 2 mpg . I will be doing the fuel filter and transmission fluid flush soon as well.
The new MPG spec from the website state 18-25 so I am quite happy with my perfromance. I gave 56K on this machine.

94_v6_camry you are correct in saying you have a 70L fuel tank. The Australian version differs slightly from the American version in that they installed a larger fuel tank for longer travelling distance between refills.

On our 96 Camry Vienta CSI we average about the same (400-450kms a tank) but thats with 100% city driving. We only make a short trip (about 3kms twice daily) therefore the engine never really warms up.

On a combined highway/city cycle (50/50) we usually get 500-550kms out of the tank.

Best we've done is travelled 650kms using only 65L (100% highway)

Seriously? 600 miles? What is your secret? Do you drive 45mph without traffic or lights. Drive behind a 18 wheeler to reduce drag. Over inflate your tires and have a tail wind all the time. But even then it doesnt seem possible. Thats like 30 mpg your are talking about. Maybe you're talking about my Lexus?

1998 Camry LE, 123.xxx miles. 4cyl.
geee, i get between 21-23 mpg in the city. I dont drive highway though, sometimes wery rare .... the best mileage i got w/my Camry was 24mpg.
I replace air filter every 5000miles. I do oil changes every 2500-3000 miles.
I replaced fuel pump also. replaced sparkplugs & the wires also, also the pcv valve .... Also replaced my 14 inch alloys(the car shook like a biotch) w/15 inch original Camry 2000-2001 rims with covers.
So the only thing i could think of that i can't get more then 23mpg is that i put bigger rims(15 inches) on the vehicle that supposed to be 14inches(according to the owners manual & the driver side door panel sticker says 14 inch rims & tires).
Also i'm going to do FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING ....
