Hello TN,

I noticed today that one of the bulbs on my passenger side headlight is out. Forgive me, as I don't know what this bulb is called. It is the orange light that comes on when my low beams are on.

Would love to know how I can change this bulb and where I can buy the replacement. I've added 2 pictures - one of the working bulb (on driver side) and the one that's out (on the passenger side) below.

Side-Marker Bulb (amber) You can get them at your favorite auto parts store, about $5 bucks. Not sure on access but should be able to remove the socket with the bulb as a unit with the hood up. Replace bulb and pop the socket back in the housing.

Haven't worked on the 6.5gen camry (what you have) but I believe it uses a 194/2825 wedge bulb. You can buy the same bulb at any auto parts store or you can go with LED instead and buy it off eBay/Amazon/etc (this may require load resistors if a warning light pops up on your speedometer).

For my 2007, the bumper needs to come off to reach those far corner bulbs easily. If you have small hands, you can just reach under the fender guard without taking the bumper off but it's very tight. Not saying it will be the same for your car but the lights are almost exact.

They are impossible to change out without removing the bumper and headlight (which itself is very easy). Even of you could touch them, you can't turn the bulb. I tried every way I could think of on my BILs 2010 before giving up and removing the bumper.

They do take the 2827 bulb in your link.

don, add in those white coats who did the v6 oil filters. i can never remove mine without oil going all over the exhaust manifolds.

incredible that you have to remove a bumper to change a light bulb. i had to read that one twice...

I did exactly this on my '07 too when the main running light burned out but my arm is skinny and fits, still very tight though. Apparently it's not the same on the 6.5gen. Our 6gen uses the same turn signal bulb as both the turn and main running lights with a small type 194 in a very hard to reach place towards the far side (no one really notices I changed mine to LED when I had the lamps HID retro'ed), whereas the 6.5 uses 2 separate bulbs and no side bulb, the one OP needs changed being the smaller and harder to reach bulb.

i just googled changing side marker bulb on 2007-2011 camry and found a video shows a guy replacing the drivers side marker.
turn wheel all the way right
pull back inner fender liner a bit (2 plastic retainers)
then he was able to access and change the marker bulb.

if it was me, i'd remove the wheel entirely to make it easier though.
