Because if the AC drain tube is clogged, when you run the AC, the moisture it pulls out of the air will have to go somewhere if not out the drain tube ..... and that's usually the front carpet like you are experiencing.

 

So satisfying to watch ......

 

 

But is it normal to get that soaked because just by pressing 2 fingers on it a whole bunch of water comes up also if it’s clogged any recommend ways to unclog it ?

Nope never and yes I did watch both of them imma try to unclog it my self I don’t really wanna use compressed air cause someone told me it’s bad for the car not 100% how true it is tho

 

Try using string line from a yard string trimmer or anything similar ....

 

Gotcha has to be a long piece of medium size to get it unclogged ?

 

I would get the biggest size you can ........ never personally done this procedure myself ......... hopefully lots of water will come pissing/whizzing out and you will feel good.

Check your cabin air filter too ...... see Owner's Manual or check YouTube for how.

In some cases, it's just leaves or other debris blocking the drains on the cowl under the windshield.
Water then can't be evacuated and may eventually reach air intake and drop into the car.

Is the car out of the 3yr/36k mile warranty?
If no, goto the dealership and have them unclog.

 

No not yet gonna try to fix it my self if worse comes to worse I will bring it too the dealer

 

You mentioned its worse when it rains... do you have a sunroof? If so, may also want to check that those drains aren't clogged

 

No sun roof on my car gonna jack up the car later today and check the undercarriage to see if any holes are leading to the carpet

 

If you can't find the AC drain tube under the car, start the car, turn on the AC, and look to see if there's any dripping from the drain tube onto the ground.

You might also look for the drain tube under the carpet and try unclogging it from there if necessary.

 

Will do gonna try to resolve it today if not I’ll bring it too the dealer and let em deal with it 😂

How was this wire fed through the firewall? It is a heavy gage and I suspect that water is getting in through the hole it was fed through. I would start there:

@igzy in post #20, likely has it correct. You report this problem only NOW, due to a lot of rain.

If the AC line was clogged, depending on how the AC is laid out on your Corolla, you may have been able to see dripping from under the passenger side of dash.

 

On past cars I have had, the fluid leaking was always green which was anti-freeze = heatercore.
So on Corolla I guess it's different especially if water.

 

Heater core coolant leak in Corolla would be pink... Any AC car can have water on passenger floor if AC water drain is clogged.
