We got our new Sienna last week! We love it!!
I have a question about the power sliding doors.
I was dropping my kids off at school so I put the car in Park and then hit the overhead button to open back door. It just made a beeping sound and the power button for the doors IS o). I ended up having to turn off the car use the key to open the door, then when I started the car again, I was able to use the overhead button. Do I need to disable something to be able to open the doors while in Park??? HELP please!! Thanks!

Happened to me too and with both sides. My mistake was trying to open and start sliding the door at the same time. I thought I was helping the power door, but it always stopped and beeped at me. I trained myself just to pull the handle and not to start sliding the door. This solved our problem.

The problem is it's no always reproducible. It happens at home, or at the mall, or at school once in a while, but when owners get to the dealership it does not always happen. So dealers say come back when it happens again, or there are instructions in the manual on how to unjam the door.

So Toyota is not taking this (and other problems) very seriously.

Same Here

We've been having problems with the power sliding door on our 2011 Sienna LE not opening all the way. It's always the passenger side and it requires manual intervention. So annoying!

Also, we just recently had our 15K service and the dealership did the brake recall and now our power sliding doors don't work at all even with the power switch set to On. I'm thinking the battery was removed since our other electronic settings were reset such as time on the clock, default display on the LCD screen such as MPG Until Empty, etc. What do you guys think?

I have exact, same problem. Caused by exact same circumstance; brake switch recall. Dealer did not reset system and I did not know to check it before I left. Trying now to get a solution. Dealer said "bring it back." Sorry, will not do !! Found instructions for "reseting the Power Door Battery on Sienna" It requires that you disconnect the battery, - wait 5 minutes and reconnect, press "Open" button on the remote key fob to open the door, close the door, wait 10 seconds, then open the door with the remote again, close the door, wait 10 seconds, open with the remote a third time. Once third cycle is complete, system should be reset.

Nothing in manual about this process - however it does say that the system must be "initialized."

Passenger power sliding door beeping

Had a similar problem. returned home and the passenger door opened partially, then beeped. Beeps every time we push the button. Driver's side door works fine. No beeps when using the handle itself, but no response either.

I turned on the manual override switch to the left of the steering wheel. Closed and opened the passenger sliding door a number of times, leaving it closed. Turned off the override switch and the door behaves fine - opens and closes. no beeps.

Hope you are as lucky as me. Hope my luck continues.....
