Hot restart problem.

Truck starts great in the morning and anytime that you let it sit for over 2hours.
Cranks fine. No error codes, Read with scan tool Engine Coolant Temperature, Intake air temperature, vehicle speed, engine rpm ( all fine).

If I turn it off and try restarting it immediately it starts and runs fine.

The problem is when you drive somewhere and turn the vehicle off for 10 to 15 minutes then it will crank but it won't fire. The only way to start it then is to spray in some starting fluid and then it starts right up and runs great.

I have already changed the fuel filter, and spark plugs, battery is fine and holding a charge.

Any ideas how to solve this hot start dilema. Thanks.

Sounds like it might be the coolant temperature sensor. Not the one that goes to the gauge but the one that the ECU reads the temp from. It could just be going out of range (but not shorted or open to throw a code) and not allowing the engine to git enough gas fer the proper temp. BTW...it's not an easy sensor to git to either... :(

I had a 97 Firebird that would do this too. turns out it was a crank shaft sensor!!! not sure if this is related or not. but it was a pain in the you know what to diagnose. it was intermittent, but sometimes it would just not fire up. finialy my shop drove out to where i was and hooked up a scanner gauge and found that sensor to be faulty. just a thought, not sure if the T100 has it or not, but just a thought.

I knew it was an old thread but it must be a common issue. I'm guessing fuel related but the crank seems weird...almost as if the timing belt was gone.
I have had this issue with three different generations of Corollas too. Same cure. Add one Camry.
Thanks for any ideas!
