tb and intake compatability

So...

I have a 06 enigne and I'm replacing it with a salvaged 2010 motor thats nearly complete except for the exhaust manifold. I noticed that the TB is "slightly" different between them. There is a hose that comes out of the 06 and goes to a small jbox, then another hose comes out and dumps to atmosphere at the middle of the intake. On the 2010 intake, this same connection reconnects to a port on the intake itself. Perhaps this is some additional emissions junk. Whats weird is the FSM shows the water bypass, fuel tube sub, TB hose, but doesnt say what this little connector is or where it goes.

Would these intakes and TBs be cross compatible? Its a "from 05/2006" model (so the later version) and the parts show that this TB is the same between then and 2010 models.

I'm just wondering if I should swap over my 06 intake to the 2010 block or if its ok to use the 2010 tb/intake setup like it is when I put it in the 06 car and its 06 ecu.
Thanks

I don't know specifically about the TB itself, but I DO know that the electronics were changed from 06 to 07. different connectors on the MAF and a change in the programming.

I would put the original TB on the car to avoid any headaches.

perhaps that is wise then. Comparatively the wiring looks the same in color and connector.

I know that the 07 models had a throttle limiting system for speed or RPM redline control and cut, but that was the only year that it was offered. I was contemplating taking advantage of the newer style intake, etc...but perhaps its not worth it. I really wish they had designed this configuration better to work on. Looks like pulling the intake body with that mess of wires in there is a pita. On youtube, there is a guy doing this kind of work/diagnostic on a rav4 to determine the HG is leaking, but that had like 400k on the motor!!! He is barely able to remove the intake without pulling the fuel rail.

I doubt I'll ever be that lucky lol.

I popped off the new intake to have a look. I was concerned about some of the buildup that I saw in all the runners. This motor has 71k on it. Then I popped off the intake from the older motor with 156k on it....nevermind. Makes the "newish" motor look that much newer imho. There must be a lot of fumes making it back into the intake. Perhaps thats a stuck pcv since nobody ever seems to change them anyway. I can only imagine how that impacts efficiency.
