"Christmas tree" clips! At least for the taurus lip. The rear spoiler I'm not as sure about.

well rear spoiler is difficult, some says its easy, but trust me nots not....i messed mine up when installing it...but i've got to say if i do install another one, it'll be much easier...my tips...when u open up ur trunk, there will already be some holes once u remove the covering...from there just drill, but be careful....i wanted mine spoiler to be flush with my trunk (thought it might look good) and it turned out ugly...the spoiler should be kinda sticking out...and it wiilll just drill the hole...and drilling the trunk is a bi thc too..lol.. good luck though

Yeah for the spoiler, i would've messed up until my dad came and told me to slow down and not rush. Then he got some tape measure and rulers and measured the crap out of it. Eventually we got it spot on, but it took like half an hour of just measuring. DON'T RUSH.

Good advice. I tend to rush mods anyway because I want to see the end result! Hah thanks man.

If your installing it on the actual trunk lid;


I would drill some holes into the Lid itself and fiberglass some Studs out of it, then match where the studs are to the trunk lid and drill holes there. Get a couple nuts and washers and bolt it in place. If you fiberglass the studs somewhere on a flat side that sits against the trunk you wont be able to see where its bolted giving you a flush look. You could go a step further and fiberglass / fill the entire lip to the trunk lid itself and paint the trunk so it looks like its part of the trunk lid.

Alright, this is what I was looking for. For my fog lights when I put them in my bumper there was no internal support so they'd just be hanging. I put small pieces of wood behind to act as a makeshift stud, is this the same principle? Also where do I get my hands on some fiberglass? Cool idea with the color scheme, but I'm actually doing flat black for both. My car has an odd scheme but I like it. Cashmere beige with black accents.

Fiberglass can be had from Walmart, Lowes, Home depot, etc.

 

drill holes in the bumper to line up with the holes on the tarus lip. getting it flush is tough and it helps having 2 people to help. be sure to measure each side to ensure each side is even.

the spoiler should have studs on the mounts. if you cant get a predrilled trunk then drill the holes after lining them up...this is a little tough to get right. if you dont have the studs then your gonna need to get some or rig something up. id search a junkyard and take the stud out or find the thread size and make your own. DO NOT use anything but a form of bolt or fastener. adhesives will rip off over time. i would not fiberglass anything attached to the trunk, over time the fiberglass will ware with the vibrations wind forces and opening of the trunk.

 

Ive seen little about the taurus lip mod, care to fill me in?

I googled a littlle after I posted. That looks really good. is it stock on the tauri?

it is stock. it is simply the lower part of the factory bumper. was to remove and easy to install.
