Hate to open this box of worms but I'm researching tires. Dealer has a buy 3 get 1 for $1. They recommend Yokohama and I see that they have the Bridgestone Dueler. I've always gone to Dunn which is cheaper. Thoughts?

I have to say in this case, Toyota is not marking up the tires to give the discount. They want to move tires, and get you back to the dealer multiple reasons. Check over the truck for other work it may need and you may see the new models wanting to trade in.

(I work in Toyota Parts Dept.)

I have 09 Highlander with Yokohama Geolander G056 245/65/17. Great tire for the price.

 yeah....it helps to put what wheel you have (17 or 19) That changes a lot.

If you have 19's, from my experience
Michelin Defender LTX M/S > (Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 (driving on bare rims would be better than these), Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza, Goodyear Assurance Tripletred C/S)

Since I am a Jeep guy, the best tire I ever had were Michelin LTX M/S - great in snow even when almost bald. Just didn't have size needed last time.
Wife currently has Goodyear Assurance Tripletred C/S - as good in my opinion in all types of weather so far.
When I bought mine I got 20% each (5th free), $80 rebate, and tax free weekend from an tire company in MA. Beat dealership prices for a better tire.

Costco recommended MICHELIN X LT A/S 245/65R17 107T for my 2012 Highlander SE AWD. The specs are great and they should perform in Chicago weather. Price is $164 per tire, $752 for the package with installation.

I cannot find reviews because they are latest generation (according to Michelin's site).

Is anyone using them on this type of vehicle? What's your experience?

Thanks.
