That is the same TRD RSB that several of us have installed. Here it is installed on my car by itself & than after I also installed the Ultra Racing 19mm RSB & Lower 2-pt chassis brace.

It's very easy to install the Front Strut Brace (FSB) when you install your springs as you have to take off the same parts. I would say to install the TRD FSB & RSB along with your springs & you will notice a big difference. If you want even better handling than look into the UR parts also. :naughty:

The large bolts that hold the factory/TRD RSB on also are used to secure the UR RSB. The other end of the UR RSB bolts onto the lower strut bolt so there are no mods needed to install them.

I think I misworded what I said ok so what I need is the front strut brace and the rear sway bar I just get confused when I see that other picture but it shares the same part number of what seems to go directly inside the torsion beam. So its this http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyota-Parts-PTR11-12080-Sway/dp/B008UTG0XO

And then the front strut brace correct?

That is the right part number and picture. For whatever reason many places use a 'stock' picture rather than the actual picture of the part.

Hi guys. The TRD RSB is similar with the UR Rear Torsion bar (RT25-231). UR added another 2nd anti-roll bar which is the 19mm (AR19-222). The UR torsion bar is around 25mm and i think the stock is around 20mm or less. Correct me if i am wrong on this. You can go either TRD or UR. I would've love TRD parts but difficult to get in our area so i went all-out UR to complete the UR bars :)

You can do TRD AND UR if you want like I did. Check the pic I posted earlier on this thread. You can just upgrade to the TRD, or add the 19mm UR bar to the stock RSB or upgrade the OEM RSB by itself. Take your pick!

Speaking on that, it can be overdone. These cars from the factory arrive with under-steer bias, meaning the front end will push in a corner.

There is a point at which the balance of the car goes from under-steer to neutral to over-steer bias. As you add bars this changes the behavior of the car to more neutral and perhaps beyond. I am not sure where this would occur, but I myself with the TRD sway bar have been in a situation many times where the rear end lost traction and stepped out inducing an over-steer scenario with good tires too. In the dry, this was only under specific aggressive turns with in a lift off over-steer combination which I can replicate with some effort. In the wet I can get over-steer without throttle manipulation and in the snow and depending on the road surface I can get it to happen when I want and it is quite easy.

I can only imagine that with the addition of more bars this could occur even more easily, well for me anyway as I know to do it. There have been cases with other cars where people have had a short amount of wheel time after the bias change and found the rear end stepping out on them when they were not expecting it to, so use prudence and wisdom.

Many of the additional bars I've installed provide a stiffer chassis that allows the suspension to operate much more efficiently. All manufacturers design understeer into a FWD car as most drivers aren't experienced and can handle understeer much better than oversteer. I've pushed my car very hard at times and it's so predictable, even close to the limit. I've never been surprised by any sudden change in handling was things progress very nicely and the chassis communicates very well what it's doing. Can you over do this? Maybe, but what I've done hasn't reached that point yet. I'll be willing to bet that CorollaTRD (Alex) will think the same as he's done what I've done to his Corolla.

Super, you only illustrate my point. You have had some wheel time in between bars added as well as time with them all on.

If someone who has less wheel time goes from none to all and the right conditions might find unexpected results.

Anything is possible but my Corolla is so much more stable than a stock Corolla and it does think more gradually and gives the driver more information as to what is happening that I don't honestly see that happening. Anything could but it's not like it does anything suddenly that would surprise even a novice driver. Than again, a novice driver wouldn't drive at the upper limits either!

If i may add my 2 cents, stiffening the chassis of the corolla really helped improved handling and made a great difference in ride! the car is more responsive, very confident to drive even at high speed straight and corners. No matter what you do with car, it still depends on the experience of the driver. If these bars help the driver understand the behaviour of the car better, then he'll be able to react faster, and enjoy the ride more :) our engine is not much but the handling is really great!
