I've come across Truecar.com and I was wondering if anyone used it to buy a new car. I am a little hesitant. Wondering if you can share stories.Good, bad?

My sister wanted to use it to go lease a car. Its a great resource if your not a good negotiator(which she isn't) and hate going back and forth with the scam artist sales men. But if you know how to negotiate and know a thing or 2 about car buying, then its not worth using truecar or any other website. I consider myself to be a very good negotiator and have a finance background so I didn't use truecar and did real good. Its very well possible to get a better deal than prices suggested on truecar and other car buying websites.
I will say just do some research about the vehicle your interested in and also learn about how financing and leasing works. Financing a car is pretty straight forward but leasing is not! They can definitely get people with leases.
Truecar is a good source of info, and you don't have to buy through them at all. But it is one of the better sites on the Net to get an accurate gauge of the prices, so always check it without a doubt.
Bought our Honda Ody through Truecar.com. They give you the option of 3 dealers that can match the price on the site. We chose one, went there, literally spent about 2.5 and drove home in our van. No fuss, whatsoever.
