Turn signals are out can't locate flasher relay 2000 Corolla LE look at the fuses they all seem good pulled out some sort of small gray from behind the fuse panel it was a real pain to get it out not sure if that's for something else. Ive looked everywhere if someone can host a comprehensive video for my model of car that would be amazing:grin:

Has the radio been messed with recently?
The dash piece that controls the hazards also runs the blinkers.
If that hazard switch is not plugged in correctly you will have no blinkers.

Hi,
I had the turn signal flashers go out before and replaced the relay.

The replacement is a small box with a few metal connectors. It looks like a boxy smart phone USB charger.

I think its the one listed on Rock Auto:
http://www.rockauto.com look under Electrical, Flashers.

You'll need to use pliers to pull it out and flashlight to located it on the left hand side of the brake pedal on driver side area.

Good luck and let us know if it works. Just unplug and replug in the new one and you're set to go!

Happy Holidays to Everyone.
I want to replace my 2000 Corolla VE flasher relay. In my car, it looks like a gray box.
Is there a trick to pull it out?
Edit: the trick was to use pliers as was mentioned above, I was trying to get it out by hand.
I tried for few minutes, pulling out hard, wiggling it, and tilting it, but it didn't budge at all.
I appreciate any wisdom on how to pull this thing out.

BTW is there a difference between part numbers 81980-AA021 and 81980-AC030?
I cannot see what is written on mine yet, but the gray ones I've seen their photos online has the 81980-AC030 on them. The OEM part that I bought (Novita EP35) looks to be equivalent to 81980-AA021.

Appreciate your time and help. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to all.

(2nd) Edit: the reason that my relay had gone bad is rain and moisture. I assume rain is not supposed to come inside the cabin, but in an old car, there may be leaks here and there. When I took out the non-working relay, it was wet. I guess it doesn't get too much of a chance to dry too in the place it is located. Please let me know of your experience in this regard as well. Thanks.
