what defines a stock bottom end?

I keep hearing all these ricers talking about a stock bottem end like it's a huge deal like a big limitation that has the engine close to stock. But trying to look up what this is I have found that cars with this can have over 900 hp. Not exactly close to stock sounding. But reading some other stuff I have read that it is not nesisarilly a good idea as it creates a risk fator for the engine to blow.

What I'm wondering is what parts are required to remain OEM for an engine to be concidered to have a stock bottem end.

while on the subject, is it a good idea to replace the rod bearings of a car with 165k on it? all i gota do is pop off the oil pan and get alital messy.. but is it worth it? and if so whats the best bearings to replace them with? im not looking for HP but if there are any that will help do tell.
