What do I need to install HID's?

Hi, I have a 2012 Camry SE and it's my first time upgrading the headlights to HID's. From what I've read on the forums, ddmtuning is a pretty reliable company with fair HID prices. I'm looking to get the 5k 55watt H11 slim ballast kit (http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W). Is this all I need to upgrade to HIDs? What should I choose for the HID harness, Error eliminator, and the Adaptor cables section? Also can I get away with the Raptor Full sized HID kit? Is the slim ballast option worth the extra $10? Thanks for the help guys!

I have DDM Tunning HID's in my accord and a few of my friends have it in their accords and Camrys now.

Great lights. Easily installation. Great price. A few of my other friends have the higher end HID's ( $75+)

The only real difference we saw between our $30 HID set and the $70 HID set was the light up time

The DDM HIDs took a bit longer to light up.

The reason why I think DDM sells them for so cheap is because they want to sell my volume. After seeing how cheap DDM's HIDs were I installed them in the sister's and girlfriend's cars. Great stuff.

Blu-tsx - Installing an HID kit on the new Camry is very easy to do. Because HID's are an option on the vehicle you don't need a relay harness and can power your bulbs/ballasts directly from your vehicle's stock harness. Your vehicle uses an H11 bulb meaning you will need an H11 HID kit.

I would not recommend going with a 55W HID kit as they tend to burn a lot hotter and produce a lot of glare. There is a reason why all vehicle's that come equipped with factory HID lights use 35w.

We actually just had one of our customer do a very nice write up on the XenonDepot HID kit. Have a look -

i installed a morimoto 35w 5K kit into my car. bought off TRS. i thought i read everything there is to know about installing HIDs into OEM projectors then i pulled the car out of the garage and was a bit surprise. read a bit more and find people call the square boxes on top of the beam "squirrel spotters." it's to light up road signs i believe.

the cutoff isn't what i hope for and i think they do glare and blind oncoming traffic. :headbang:

don't get me wrong, they are decent...just a bit suprise how bright the "squirrel spotters" are. beam and cutoff are decent on the gen7. i'm not looking into modding the OEM housing projectors so adjusting the aim a bit lower may help. i suppose the "spotters" do have a function lighting up road signs. i'm just a noob with these hids.

DDM tuning HID kit $30 + shipping life time warranty on bulb and ballast, plug straight into 2012 I4XLE , no harness or whatsoever. The cut off seems to be decent, better than halogen so can't complain for $30. I would also recomemnd to adjust the head light down a bit to not blind incoming traffic, plus you can see better as well, since the stock setting adjust is really high.

I went back and order another H11 3000k kit for my fog-light, so waiting for that right now. If you are in a rush DDM Tuning kit is not for you, since they do takes a long time to shipped, from China that is.

That's too much, I payed $480 for an entire retrofit, for the kit alone, that is just too much.

I have the FX-R 3.0 bi-xenon projectors, Morimoto ballasts, Phillips 85122+ bulbs, E46 Shroud, etc.
