Besides the LE and XLE and SE, a standard base model became available, what is the difference between the Camry STD and the LE model please?

When you say 5th gen.... thread topic is Toyota Camry 2004 which is sixth generation, not 5th. STD model came out later in 2004, after LE, XLE and SE initially came out.

Where can we get complete info on what the STD model did not include if it came out after the initial 3 models?

A 2004 Camry is most definately a 5th gen.

Thank you for answering the thread question.

I was looking at a 2004 Camry standard and there is reference to it elsewhere as coming out mid year. Where on your linked site do they specify the differences?

I'm trying to confirm that there are only two things different functionally (no keyless and no power seat...)

The reason I linked that site is because people are having a little trouble sorting out the generations. And once again, 2002-2004 Camry LE, SE, and XLE were the only trim levels. 2005-2006 Standard, LE, SE, and XLE are the trim levels. If this is indeed a 2004, then the standard model for that year would be the LE. I hope thats what you mean.

Well, comparing the "Standard STD model of Camry 2004 vs. the LE model" (as you say it) brings about one important difference. With the standard "STD" model you get some extra features such as gonorrhea, syphilis, warts, etc.

These features can't be found on any other kind of Camry - they're quite exclusive!

I was personally *looking at* a 2004 Camry which was not an LE, XLE or SE.

I found references to a 2004 standard base model whioch came out half a year after 2004 LE, XLE and SE did.
My 2002 LE didn't have keyless or a power seat either by the way, would the differences be spelled out in the repair manual?

The Camry Standard was introduced in 2005 and lacks a full size spare, keyless entry, color-keyed outside mirrors, and power driver's seat that the LE has. Don't confuse this with the 2002-2004 Camrys in which the LE was the entry level trim. Keyless entry for instance, was not standard on an '02 LE.

The "base" Camry (aka CE) was dropped for the 2002 model year and wasn't picked up again until 2005 as the base "Standard" trim.
