I got a 5000k HID kit and this is pure white. Love them. You will get less lumens with higher Kelvin.

 

did you perhaps have a photo of you headlights??

I will concur with the 5000! I just installed the XD Extreme HID in 5000k and it's impressive on the light output. 6500 has less light and is blue in color. 5000 is a good match for the LED DRL's. Only go with 6500 if you want a blueish tint. 5000 is closer to factory HID color that you see in most vehicles.

Honestly, there is no difference between 6000K and 6500K.

I was considering getting a HID conversion kit for my 2016 HL from xenon depot and i just wanted to know which one is the one to get; 5000k or 6500k. I wanted 6000k but they don't offer it. Also, whats the difference between 6000k and 6500k? I'm really butting my head with this one...

After driving again tonight (2nd night after the install) I am thrilled with the 5000k! Maybe as good as my M3 and better than '17 GMC Yukon Denali factory HID's! Thanks to Danny at XenonDepot for talking me out of the LED's!!!

Another concern I had was that when you flash your brights when your headlights are off, both the low beam and the highbeams come on. If I had hids I couldn't do this right? And if you can't has anyone found a workaround to this issue?

Yes you can.

 

Both come on when the lights are on also! I am looking for the right Halo replacement or perhaps LED.

 

I have both 4300k and 5000k but loved the 5k more.

4300k will give you the most usable light. Anything above 5000k pretty much is useless in terms of usable light.

Installed the XD Extreme LED fogs tonight then took them for a drive. Wow! Happy with my whole set up with 5000K HID's and the new 5700k LED fogs. They look great and throw a lot of light down the road!
