My car's park under the sun at work so I wanted some protection and reduce the inside temperature. There's so many options online and prices are different so I would appreciate any suggestions. :help:

Hey HikariKnight....

I think the thicker they are the better for radiated heat protection, as long as the window is covered well and reflecting with a silver foil front up against the glass.

I use this one...
https://www.coverking.com/more-cove...more-covers/windshield/custom-sunshield-for-2015-toyota-highlander-limited.html
It is super thick, and I like it, and it does cover very well, its a custom fit to the 3rd gen HL ...
I have to make a bit more effort to push it in place to make it cover all the glass. It would be easier if it was just a touch larger so its more effortless. I think I maybe a touch picky as I do want my aftermarket speakers well covered.

I have used the one from CoverCraft, and while I don't remember it being thicker, it is a folded design and likely wont have the side curling, as my roll up design has.

Heatshield sounds goo as well, but never used them. It looks like the rollup style of Coverking. I remember on the Covercraft, you can fold and tuck on the side of passenger chair, vs a rolled large bat swinging around(over 3 years, and very durable getting tossed around). I got mine for free, so if I was paying over $40, it maybe worth getting the Covercraft...But, thickness would be important for performance...that vs folding storing ease.

If it's custom fit, floppy material is OK. Of course you pay more.

thanks for the suggestions. I will check the one at Walmart and order the CoverCraft. I'll return one if not good. I feel sunshade is a must right now since summer is here in SoCal.

I have the CoverCraft UV series in both of my vehicles. Great product. Have used them in all my vehicles for many years now.

Ive seen alot of forums asking similar questions to you. It made me think manufacturers should have an option for sun shades to come with the car.

A buddy of mine and I did the research and designed a sun shade that would be built in the dash to be electrically deployed and protect the car better than any store bought option. I know convience is a large reason sun shades fail to be popular.

Is a product like this something you wpuld be interested in?
