the xB antenna is located in the rear windows or the vehicle. The factory radio has a standard antenna plug in the back of it which would make installing an aftermarket antenna fairly easy. Find a location that you like and wire it accordingly.

here's a pic to show you the factory wires going to the rear windows. As you can see in the picture, you should be able to remove the factory plug and subsitute your own.

I've been wondering this same thing, since the reception even in the L.A. area is about the worst I've ever had in a vehicle. I've thought about one of those "fin" type antennas like on the BMW 7 Series.
Has anybody changed out their antenna - and if so, what did you use?

 

I'm a little confused

I am a little confused regarding that picture. Is the antenna plug the one on the top center?

The radio reception in the box stinks! I am looking for a replacement antenna that will look sweet on top of my box.

the antenna is in the quarter windows. The top center is just a block where it's held in place. That wire that you see is one piece from the front to the back. You'll have to add in your own plug and wire it to where you se fit.
