hi everyone.
recently asked my mechanic about timing belt replacement on my 2006 toyota sequoia sr5.
he wants me to get parts from him which is about 350 for the set.
i checked rock auto and they have good brand selection starting from 200 and up to 400.as far as i can tell these brands famous and reliable.maybe somebody can guide me which one to choose.?
thanks a lot

100% for sure get the Aisin branded kit, which is identical to (but cheaper than) OEM. Amazon currently has a better deal on it than ebay...

And get the OEM cam and crank seals from a Toyota dealer (they also sell them on amazon and ebay). The OEM seals are basically the same cost as the cheaper made aftermarket stuff, but they work a lot better.

thanks for reply. i was thinking about aisin brand but looks like i will have to buy extra seals.coming back to rockAuto dayco set wp298k1as i believe has pretty much everything. however still like contitech pro and aisin tkt021.i was also checking price on Amazon but I'm in Canada so Amazon.com will not deliver and Amazon. has only two choices

Rockauto ships to Canada the price in your cart (Canadian dollars) is the price landed at your door (no import fees). For the water pump do not use anything but Aisin, on the bearings use OEM/Koyo nothing else. Dayco timing belts are really good, their water pumps are cheap.

The last ContiTech belt I saw was made in Mexico the cheapest rubber I've ever seen it felt more like hard plastic. Maybe they are not all like this.
