2007 Camry 2.4 transmission does not engage when cold but after warm up shift into drive with no problem.
The car just struggle to get out of drive but once it gets warmed up it shifts like a brand new transmission. No slap, vibrations and its quiet.
New rebuilt transmission but will not engage in drive when cold.
No fault code on engine and transmission using techstream.
Clean and inspect valve body and it is not stuck.
Check SL1, SL2 SL3 and SLT. Toyota specs should read 5 to 5.6 ohms.
I tried to reset transmission thru Techstream and reset does not apply with the ECU. I just pulled the battery for 24 hours.
This is a really hair pulling experience for me.
Transmission is well maintained with WS fluid and filter every 50Km.
Also no burned clutches from original transmission including steel.
Rubber oil seals were flat and leaking prior to rebuild. So I decided to buy new Master rebuilding Transtec kit with new set of clutches.
Check all transmission pressure from leaks prior install into the car.
Also car is well maintained and runs like new. I never put in such mileage on the car which is around 75K miles on the clock for 14 years.
All spare parts are Toyota OEM no aftermarket parts. Not modified just bone stock.
Maintenance was done by my inhouse personal mechanic.
