I ordered a 3sgte st205 and my fuse box has been cut. I have both 3sfe and 3sgte wiring diagrams, but I cant figure it out. I've figured most of the other things out. Any help on this would be great!

Do you have the small relay box (about 2"x5") that attaches to the radiator of the ST205?

Can you post pictures of where your harness is cut?

You should be using your car's fuse box anyway, all you have to figure out is the wires that you need to connect for power/ground (all the fuses on the ST205 match up to the SV21 in name and rating). You can keep all your factory chassis related wiring (charging, backup switch, etc.) and just change plugs as necessary. Use all the engine specific stuff from the ST205 and pull our all the 3s-fe specific stuff from your factory harness. After that, you just put them together (extending/moving wires as necessary to fit the chassis). Take good notes, lots of pictures and make sure you label every wire you cut.

If you have more specific questions, I can help out more.

PS. For others reading, this is why you buy a complete clip instead of an engine set. You don't save money by getting an engine set - you can sell parts off the clip to recover the extra initial cost after you are done using what you need).

Thanks Charlie,

No, I didn't get the radiator with the relay box. They also cut the map and turbo sensor, but I already got one from a 2nd gen from my buddy that should work.

And yes, I will be using my car's fuse box. I could trace most of them, but there's a few parts that confuse me. The main runs to the am1 on 1 harness and the main and am1 are parallel on the other harness.

I'm currently in class right now, I will try to take some pictures later when I get out.

The MAP sensor from a 2nd gen 3s-gte will not work on the 3rd gen - they are different. The motor won't run right unless you have the correct 2.5bar MAP sensor (almost all gen2 3s-gte MAP sensors are 2 bar). The plug is the same, so at least you have that part taken care of.

I'm not too worried about the fuse box side of things, though I'm sure you will have some questions when you get to the details of it.

I'm most worried about the igniter/coil harness that seems to be cut there. The ignitor is also 3rd gen 3s-gte specific and might be hard to find. You should be able to fake the radiator relay box using the circuit you can find diagrams on GT4OC that are meant for bypassing the intercooler pump (you just need to wire the pump instead of the resistor to fake it).

Actually... are you doing the factory AWIC or are you going FMIC?

What's your plan for the transmission? Do you have an Alltrac Camry or FWD Camry?
