Body work is not at all easy unless you want to make your situation look worse.

You should have a lifetime warranty. If the shop will not honor it, see if your insurance company can help with it.

 

There's so many different pieces, I can't even imagine which piece you'd start moving first and which way to move it.

 

I'd just start with the bumper cover and fender.

 

I took it to a body shop to get an idea, looks like the previous shop totally half assed the entire job. Estimate so far without pulling apart the facade and seeing if there’s actual frame tweak is already @ $4k (but this is Bay Area California prices).

 

Was the body not properly bent, welded, and installed? Anything specific from the estimator? If stuff is still bent then I can understand the need to use the bending machine to bend it back to within spec.

With the fender still installed, it looks a lot worse than it seems. Otherwise as I said before, after my own work, the total price was about $4800 (in Wisconsin). It just makes you wonder how bad the previous body shop had to have screwed up. As you can see with mine, the only real noticeable thing was the door which I just smacked with a hammer myself. I would like to say to check out my threads but I have not added these pictures or my video yet because I am just... waiting...

But how could you accept such a poor workmanship from a bodyshop when you went to pick up your car? .......i wouldve just turned away and told them to fix it and fix it properly.

 

Op, if you need this corrected, I can refer you to a shop in Campbell. They do great work. Restorations is a side gig for them, but they do body repairs and represent CSAA. I've been going to them when I lived in the bay area.

It was just all bad timing… two days after the repair was done I had to drive out to California.
