alright i don't know if this happen to any of you but i did the 9005 hi beam mod to the low beams on my 95 camry, i was going out last night i started my car up to let it warm up for a few minutes,i turned on my lights and they where acting weird, they where going from bright to dim so i turned the light off and on a few times, and both blew at the same time!!!!!!!!,i'm lucky i kept the low beams or i would have been completely screw.:disappoin

did any one ever have this problem??

woah....now that's interesting......I've had my low beams altered to fit the 9005 bulbs now for about a year, and I've never had that problem.....

I do notice that my bulbs burn out faster than if I had kept them as 9006 bulbs, but that's it....

what kind of bulbs are you using?
and if this keeps on happening, maybe you shouldn't do it then :p

That is strange... I've had mine done that way for more than a couple years and I've only replaced one since I put the SilverStars in over a year ago.

The 9005 is a mm or so smaller than the 9006, did you put the additional retaining ring on from the old 9006 bulb? ...without the extra ring you could have vibrated them to death and it was just coincedence that they went at the same time.

Did you touch the bulb? You probably didn't, but I had to ask. I have Piaa 9006's and the instructions say to never ever shut the car off and cycle the lights on and off. If I turn the car off and then the lights it says not to turn the lights on again until the car is started again. Does this same rule apply with the 9005's?

well the lights i was using were euro dezigns 5200k h.i.d lights 9005 it work perfectly until thur when they blew,no i didn't shut of the car i had it running the hold time it just went from bright to dim then just shut off competely i thought i must have really mess up the hold lighting system, but when i put in the 9006 they work without a problem
