Car Auto Locks when trunk is open

My 14' SE i4 locks when the trunk is left open for about a minute. To make things a little more confusing is that the car does not auto lock if the trunk is closed, I know this because when I get to work I never lock my doors. The first time the car locked with the trunk open I thought I must have accidentally hit the lock button on the key, but I have tested this with the key left in the house. Anyone else have this happen to them? Thanks.

I don't think so as it is a security feature to lock the doors automatically after 60 seconds if they were unlocked with the remote and no door was physically opened. Check with you dealership to see if they can program this as there is no user option to do this that I know of.

you are right. thanks for the correction. for non-nav unit, they have to go to the dealer. i got the nav & that's why i was able to change mine. never knew about the window. does it have to be all the way down or will a small gap trigger the auto lock too?
