"yOu PuT iT oN"....thanks, i do wear it every time. My main complaint is when you have to pull it off for something or if i unbuckle in the driveway or going to check the mail it starts the beep sequence and it feels like it never ends. Was just wondering if anyone found a wire to cut or some trick to shut off the beep.
My 2007 Silverado was just a plug going into the seat that needed to be pulled.

1) Turn the ignition on. Do not start the engine. Cycle your trip reset knob until you it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off.

2) Make sure the driver seatbelt is not fastened.

3) Turn the ignition back on. Do not start the car . As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a 20 second count.

3) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten the driver’s seat belt. As soon as you fasten the seatbelt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time, take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.

After you next disconnect your battery, you will have to redo this procedure, similar to the auto door lock and radio settings, so bookmark or print this out.

“Anyone successfully done this? Is there a write up anywhere? Thank you so much that alarm is so fucking annoying all my friends hate it lmao

When the seat belt chime goes off on the front passenger seat, this indicates the following issues.

Seat belt buckle
Weight sensor
SRS code

You need a scan tool that can decode air bag faults. I’m going off the assumption that the weight sensor reads wrong when the load shifts.

Since it’s occurring when empty, try buckling the front seat belt with a heavy object in the seat. This will guide you down a different set of parameters to look at or the condition doesn’t change.

Look closer into the seat belt buckle. That thing collects dust and can cause the sensor to go haywire. This is more for the seat belt chime than the pretensioner.

Do you have seat air bags as well?

I had a '73 Pontiac Catalina when I wuz stationed at Clark AB Philippines. Bought it for a thousand bucks from a guy who wuz leaving. Firts car I ever had that had seat belts, and an obnoxious noise-maker if they weren't hooked-up. I found it and beat it to death with a ballpeen hammer. Does the corolla have some physical thing that makes seatbelts noise that can be disabled by violent physical attack?
