I have a 95 SE V6 coupe, I was just wondering, is it possible to get this motor close to 10sec. 1/4 mile or what do I have to do to get this shit hitting close to 10sec. Do I go with turbo or super charge?? Do I need a swap or stay with the stock motor? I want to start a project on this camry but don't really know so much about camry yet, just know I like this body and want to bring out the true power of a camry (if there's any). Please, if anyone know so much about this project I am trying to work on or any resources at all, post it, because I really want to get this project going.

Also, Let me tell you. If you are honestly interested in this. You have to read a lot. Learn everything you can about your motor. Learn everything about forced induction. You have to know exactly how you plan on completing this (Order of operations).

You can't take any shortcuts either.
Howstuffworks.com is a good start to learn about turbo and s/c. You might also want to check out the hardcore/tech section sticky there have been many discussions on turbo vs s/c.

Forget those...
1/4 mile, hp, torque, weigh, mph, ET, etc, formulas and calculators.
They are highly inaccurate... You can only be close on XXX track and traction condition and through a limited power band.

One will be 400hp and under, with mild launches, while another will only be accurate with 500hp +, with perfect track/traction conditions & launches.

it wont' be streetable but between 10-15,000 strictly on motor & drivetrain mods will get you to 10 secs. Tony has spent more than $10,000 on his Cam but he's gone through stages. You have the benefit of knowing what he knows after all his hard work and tuning so you can jump over the middle stages and just build a full-out Camry.

pm tony and wraith...send them cases of good booze and beg for insight. If you want 10 seconds, my suggestion is to fire gut the car, no interior, no passenger seat, and make it into a turbo'ed gas can, and even then I am doubtful

Oh, almost forgot....lots of boost...call Nasa and ask if they have an extra missle laying around. I'm sorry, I do love my Gen 3 and there is a remote chance for a 10 second version of that car..but at great expense. Kudos if you can pull it off, I think you would be the first one to do this

I'm just gonna take a guess and say. No.

I mean, sure if you've got $50k it could probably be done, but seeing as how that's the biggest waste to put $50k into, It's just easier to say that "No, it doesn't have the capability."

If you want to be technical about it, with enough money, you could probably put any car into the 10s.

as long as u have the funds, heart, patience, and knowledge it could be possible (but probably low 12s mid 11s) but thats still quick as shit

back me up guys, but won't probably be a must to convert to RWD, b/c of overall weight...like those 9 sec FWD cars are lighter than u can make the gen 3 PLUS they strip them and have a tach, drivers seat, shifter, and roll bars inside.....would this be a generally correct statement?

anyone heard of Paul Efantis, hes running mid 7's in solara but its RWD converted....o and hes sponsored, which helps

sheesh, a big turbo + manifold is around the 10k mark >_<. spend around 15k on the chassis/suspension, and 20k on the engine and youll get close...maybe 11's

take a gas ax to the back end, hack the back seat area out and weld in the drivetrain and rear suspension from a mr2, get a killer 3sgte built and remove the engine and trans from the front of the car, now replace every body panel with fiberglass ones and build a tube frame for the car. This means no subs, beer, or excess weight on the car or the driver :disappoin Now put a fuel cell in the front end and fill it with alky and have fun
