How Old Are You??

Just out of curiosity. I work at a Toyota dealership, and all of us who are car buffs complain about Toyota not trying harder to target a younger demograph, and the enthusiast market. The age of the average Toyota buyer is in the 50's, but I've noticed younger people buying the new Camry.

So I was interested in how old everyone in here was to kind of get an idea of the median age group. Also, to go a step further, why'd you buy your Camry?? Brand loyalty, price, mileage, etc?

I'm 25, btw. Wife and two kids dictate the need for at least one four door vehicle, and minivans/SUV's are overkill for our needs.

They're not trying hard enough, then. There's still a lot of room for improvement from a driving dynamics standpoint, has Honda perfectly illustrates. And they leave a lot to be desired in terms of features for the money, as evidenced by Hyundai and Kia, two companies who I think are doing a really good job appealing to youthfyl buyers.

I'm going to assume that the majority of people here are in the late teens-40s considering you don't really see many 50+ ages on an internet forum.

I'm 53. I've owned, run, and moderated a bunch of forums. I've also been building computers since the 90s. Don't currently own a Camry but I did have an 04 I4 AT Camry as a company car for two years. It was a great car. I've also owned several other Toyota products along the line.

I go first week of December. I'm actually pretty stoked. I'm a big sports car nut, and I'm excited to see if Toyota is really legit about trying to inject some adrenaline into the brand.

We've got three Avalons coming next week. We're not a huge dealership, though. We serve a city of about 60,000, and sell 110-115 cars a month.

27 no wife or children, never liked 2 doors. My commute varies as I just go wherever the drug industry decides to sends me... This is my 4th Camry, not really by choice but just turned out that way. All my previous cars all had >200-300k miles on them before I sell it. I'm a big sports car nut but financially it didn't make sense to own anything expensive with my mountains of student loans. For the price, overall MPG for the power, and overall creature comforts, nothing beats it in my humble opinion.

This my first post. This is a great site and thanks to everyone with all the great info.Im 47 and have not had a camry in ten years. My wife and i just recently wanted to replace a 2003 tahoe with a sedan of some sort.We settled on a camry se v6 after looking at other brands.i wanted a car with kind of a sporty feel because we already have a bmw 325 ci and love it.The camry may not be real sporty but on the se model the seats have a sporty feel and the sport suspension which i like.I love the 18" wheels and tires and the underbody spoilers and rocker panels.I didnt notice when i bought the car that it does not have memory seats, but other than that for the money we wanted to spend we love the car.

52 with a wife and kid. Bought my SE I4 to replace my 1987 Toyota Pickup (only had 95K miles!) as we needed a second car that we can fit the family in as the pickup had a bench seat. Also have an '09 V6 Venza that we love and I previously owned a 1987 Celica as well.

Toyota's have always proven to be reliable for me as my other vehicles were Chevy's and Fords and they proved to be POSs.
